I know. I know. Some of the websites in my portfolio use tables in the HTML rather than CSS for layout. A few of my design firm clients prefer that I develop in tables. It is not my preference but they call the shots.
There are huge benefits for using standards based CSS layouts rather than tables based layouts. Advantages with SEO, easy updating, and (future) browser compatibility to name a few.
